Seed Life was a big vision that started in 2018. Building something like this takes a lot of time, and we have worked hard for the last 5 years to build this group of hardworking professionals! All of our employees have their own strong suits, and bring their own light of value to our team. More importantly though, they work together to get the job done for our growers. It is our commitment to best serve the Illinois farmer, and we think our team can do just that. We would love for you to scroll below to read a little on each one!

Katie Dowson

Katie has a Bachelors degree in Agriculture Science, along with a minor in Agronomy from Western Illinois University. She lives in the Springfield Illinois area and runs the main facility. After college, she had a vision to do her part in the seed world, and that is how Seed Life came to be. Her passions are marketing and communications, so that’s her main focus at Seed Life! She is the face behind our social media accounts and the gal who brainstorms up all the new swag line items!

Levi Bailey

Business Development Manager

Levi is from Louisville, IL. He has a keen eye for new ways of doing business & connecting people. He works with our whole team here at Seed Life & also sells seed all over Illinois, with Southern IL being his main focus. Levi has a Bachelors degree in Agriculture Business from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Brian Pittman

Brian is from Olney, Illinois. He is definitely no stranger to the seed world, and we love having him on our team. He grew up on a family farm and shares his passion daily with our industry. Brian covers south east Illinois and western Kentucky for us in sales, and he also runs our treating/ shipping facility in Clay City, IL. Brian has been with us for 5 years now!

Jessica Ripberger

Jessica is from Tipton, IN. She grew up on her family’s farm and has continued to build an impressive resume in agriculture. She went to Purdue University where she got a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture Sales & Marketing with a minor in Agronomy as well. Jessica will cover Indiana for us!

Jillian Smith

Jillian is from Monroe Center, Illinois. She has an incredible background in the agriculture industry! She sure knows how to work hard and get things done! Virtually working, she is in charge of all the bookwork and employee communications for Seed Life. She has a degree in Agriculture Communications from Iowa State. Jill is so easy to talk to. If you have questions don’t ever hesitate to reach out to her!

Katie May

Social Media Assistant

Katie is from Nashville, IL. She was raised on a family farm and still is a major part of her farm. She currently is going to school at SIUC where she’s getting a degree in Agriculture Economics. She is virtually helping us with projects on our social media accounts and our apparel website.

Chris Hargrove

Logistics Coordinator

Chris is from Clay City, IL. It’s no easy task getting seed moved across the entire corn belt, but he makes it seem like it! Chris manages all of our freight and we are no doubt thankful he’s a part of our team.
